Energy Saving
Air compressors use a lot of energy, especially if they’re not working efficiently or if you don’t have the right option for your requirements. At Airia, we want to ensure our customers’ air compressor systems are as cost-effective as possible, and we’re on hand to help you make energy savings by recommending solutions that can reduce your electricity bill.

Variable air compressors
If you currently have a fixed speed air compressor, you can usually save energy and money by moving to a variable speed compressor. Variable speed compressors adjust motor speed to match air demand, meaning that air output follows demand precisely which eliminates wasted unload cycles and levels pressure fluctuations.
Although purchasing a new air compressor comes with an initial cost, you’ll soon see a return on investment due to reduced electricity bills, as these energy savings quickly add up over time. For example, some clients have seen a 50% reduction in energy use following switching their fixed speed air compressor for a variable speed model.

Energy Saving Audits
An energy survey is often the first step to understanding and improving the energy efficiency of a compressed air system. Airia utilise the most advanced energy surveying equipment. All areas including generation, treatment, distribution and process usage can be audited.
Costs
With energy costs ever increasing, the need to control the cost of your systems compressed air is becoming increasingly important. Airia’s engineers will install state of the art logging equipment. This allows a detailed report on the compressed air systems condition. In particular reference to energy and the operating efficiency of the system to be provided.
Report
Following a full analysis of the systems energy and air usage, Airia will forward a report on potential ways to generate energy savings via various methods dependant upon site factors. Airia – committed to providing energy efficient solutions for your sites air compressor requirements.

Multi-compressor control solutions
Air compressors are often oversized or run continuously at full load even when air demand is low. Since compressed air is an expensive utility, controlling it intelligently can result in fantastic energy savings.
For systems with multiple compressors, a control solution manages which compressors run, load and unload timing, and system pressure band optimisation. This solution prevents compressors from fighting each other e.g. simultaneous loading and unloading and keeps one machine at full load and working efficiently and one as a trim compressor which adjusts its output to fine-tune the total air supply, maintaining stable system pressure. On average, using a multi-compressor control solution has an energy saving potential of up to 30%.
